Welcome to the Redwood PTA
Thank you for your interest in supporting Redwood students and staff. We invite you to become involved in one or more of the many programs that we offer. There are many ways to get involved either at the school or from home. With just a little effort individually, our combined efforts can make a big difference to our children and staff at Redwood Elementary.
The PTA usually meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at either 9:30 am or 7:00 pm in the Redwood cafeteria. (There is no meeting in December or over summer break). Our calendar of events including our meeting schedule can be found under handouts on this site. At the meetings, we discuss current events, upcoming activities, and open the floor for questions and comments so parents like you can offer insight on how we can better serve our children and our school. Plus, our principal, Mr. TJ Ebert, is in attendance to give us updates on the curriculum and events going on at Redwood. If you cannot attend a meeting, our minutes are available on our website under the handout and announcement sections plus through the monthly newsletter.
SOME REDWOOD PTA SPONSORED EVENTS INCLUDE:
· HOST: festivals, homecoming, family fun nights, student assemblies, author visits, school breakfasts, and more!
· ENRICH LEARNING: through assemblies, Reading Programs, Reflections Art Fair and more!
· ORGANIZE: student directories, monthly newsletters, yearbooks, class parties, student holiday shopping events and more!
· SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY: with scholarship programs, Red Cross blood drives, and more!
· SUPPORT OUR SCHOOL: staff appreciation week, organizing classroom helpers for field trips, parties, etc. , staff cookie walk, purchase of teacher gifts including classroom carpets, cubbies, computers, assist teachers with classroom events and more!
· FUND: playground equipment, drinking fountains, security cameras; computer software; ActivBoards, accessories, hand sanitizer, recess games and activities, school signs, and more!
